Itinerary
In June 2023 I flew from Melbourne, Australia to Zurich, Switzerland. The primary purpose of my European trip was to present my PhD research at an academic conference in Poland. I had one full week to travel by train from Switzerland to Poland. As part of this journey I covered a number of well-known scenic and/or historically significant routes:
- The Golden Pass Line (Lucerne–Montreux);
- The Arlberg Railway (Bludenz–Innsbruck);
- The Mittenwald Railway (Innsbruck–Mittenwald); and
- The Semmering Railway (Gloggnitz–Murzzuschlag)
